NORTH Eastern Jewish Centre’s Rabbi Yaakov Glasman pulled on his running shoes and hit the treadmill for the Foxtel Lap “treadmill marathon” in City Square earlier this month.
Participating in the event for the second time, Rabbi Glasman beat his personal best by running 49 100-metre laps in half an hour to raise money for the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.
The Doncaster-based congregation challenged its rabbi, sponsoring him per lap and together they have raised more than $1000 to date.
